Tri2O Swim Centre

At the Tri2O Swim Centre we pride ourselves on our friendly 'club atmosphere' and welcome Triathletes and Open Water Swimmers of all abilities from novice triathletes to aspiring English Channel swimmers and everyone in between. After another fantastic year in 2010, our Reading based Open Water Swimming Centre is looking forward to welcoming you back for the 2011 season.

The venue, which was chosen for the first ever British Triathlon, has an onsite shop for all your Triathlon and Open Water Swimming essentials. The Tri2O Shop stocks a full range of Wetsuits, Tri-suits, Swimming Goggles and accessories from 2XU, blueseventy and Orca; running shoes by Newton and a range of Nutrition products from Hi5, Buzz, Mule Bar and For Goodness Shakes.
We offer a complimentary wetsuit fitting service and many of the triathlon wetsuits are available to 'try before you buy'.

The lake water temperature is measured and updated daily on our Home Page at www.mysportingtimes.com. Set us up as one of your 'favourites' and have a quick glance before you head over for a swim....then you can decide if you need those booties or not! You can also get regular updates by following us on Twitter or Facebook.
The Tri2O Swim Centre is accredited as a NOWCA approved lake.

Lake Coaching:

We offer scheduled on-site triathlon and open water swimming coaching, in line with the NOWCA and BTF guidelines, with our resident Coaches Clive Alderson and Russell Cox. Coaching sessions are available to book as 1:1 or Group sessions, through our dedicated Lake Coaching section.
For those requiring something less structured there will always be an experienced open water swimmer on hand to offer advice, guidance and reassurance.

Tri2O facilities:

• Well marked 800meter swim loop - straight up and down course with large Marker Buoys for easy sighting.
• Safety boats in the water at all times.
• Female and Male changing rooms with shower facilities.
• Easily accessible from M4 Jn11 at Reading.
• T1 Clubhouse with Sky Sports, Wireless Internet and most importantly Tea, Coffee and Snacks!
• Junior Swimmers welcome (Waiver form must be completed by a Parent or Guardian).
• Wetsuit Hire Service - available on a Single Swim or Weekly basis.
• Cycleops Trainers available for T1 Brick Sessions.
• Scenic 1.7km run track around the lake.

The lake is situated at the Copthorne Hotel off Junction 11 on M4.

Exit the M4 at Junction 11 and follow the A33 towards Basingstoke. At the 2nd set of Traffic Lights filter right and then turn right again at the mini roundabout; follow signs for the Copthorne Hotel. The Hotel is only 2 miles from Junction 11. Enter the Hotel complex and look for the Beach Flags in the far right corner of the Car Park.

Opening Times:

Valid from 16^th April 2011 to 29^th September 2011:
Saturday & Sunday 07.30a.m. - 10.00a.m.
Tuesday & Thursday 17.30p.m. - 20.15p.m.
Wednesday mornings now finished for 2011.

Waiver Form:

All swimmers MUST complete and sign a Waiver Form [once only for the season] and register before entering the water (available for DOWNLOAD HERE if you wish to speed registration on arrival).

Please adhere to the Tri2O Rules and Regulations detailed onsite.

MySportingTimes / Tri2O reserve the right to refuse admission or remove swimmers from the water if the safety of other swimmers is compromised.
