1:1 Coaching

A 60 minute individual coached sessions with one of our BTF qualified coaches which will be tailored to meet your specific objectives. Whether you are looking to improve your basic open water skills or want advanced video swim analysis, an hour of 1:1 coaching will provide real value to every level of athlete.

Simply book online and you will be contacted directly by one of our coaches to arrange a mutually convenient time for your coaching session.


1:1 coaching is available to every level of athlete; each session is therefore different and structured around the individual's specific requirements.
We offer coaching at the highest level by a qualified BTF Level 3 coach covering the following areas:

Basic open water skills [see our Group Open Water Induction course for content].

Advanced open water skills:
  • Preparing for your swim
  • Mass starts - where to position yourself / what to expect.
  • Bank start / deep water start
  • Contingency planning
  • Race starts
  • The 'washing machine'
  • Sighting
  • Turns
  • Drafting

    Specific areas that can be covered on request:
  • Video stroke analysis (pool based).
  • Transition technique [T1 & T2].
  • Bike fit & set up.
  • Bike & run advice.
  • Race preparation & strategy.

1:1 coaching may be booked as a one-off or on a more regular basis. To maximise the value of the session we will contact you in advance to discuss your objectives.
